Green Island is an uninhabited privately owned island just off the eastern coast of Antigua. It has a lush vegetation, beautiful sand beaches and nice reefs to snorkel.
The pristine white sand beach on the northern side of the island offers you the best possibilities to launch your kite and get started. You have sideshore winds, which make it easy to get out and back on the beach.
Nonsuch Bay is vast and well protected by a large reef. The bay is two miles long and half a mile wide. If you love flat water you can kite to the reef, where you will experience good conditions for freestyle riding in turquoise waters. If you prefer a little chop to pop with your twintip or your surfboard you can kite right in front of the beach or go downwind into the bay.
From December to June there normally are easterly trade winds in the range from 15 to 20 knots. Usually there is a bit more wind from December to February and it gets lower towards the end of the season.
When the weather is not optimal for kitesurfing, we can take you with our dinghi to some nice snorkeling spots or to a beach for relaxing. Alternatively we can organize a rental car for you, so that you can explore the island.
